Team
The team brings extensive experience in full-cycle investing, delivering operational value-add and achieving successful exits for numerous companies throughout MENA and Türkiye over the past two decades.
OÄŸuz brings 20 years of diverse experience in investment banking and private equity across Türkiye, and MENA.

Prior to SME Fund TR, OÄŸuz was part of the regional investments team at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in Riyadh, focusing on projects in Saudi, Bahrain and Oman. Before PIF, he led Türkiye investments for Kamco Invest, Kuwait's largest independent asset manager. At Kamco, he spearheaded successful investments and exits, including Bıçakcılar (Türkiye's #1 disposable medical equipment manufacturer, acquired by Koç Group) and Yargıcı (Türkiye's leading women's apparel, acquired by TIMS Group). He also led a pre-IPO investment in Floward, GCC's #1 online gifting platform.

Based in Bahrain, Oğuz was previously a Senior Investment Manager at Investcorp, the region's leading asset manager. As a Board Member of portfolio companies like Tiryaki Agro, Namet, and Arvento, he contributed to operational improvements and successful exits. Notable exits are the sale of Investcorp's stake in Tiryaki Agro to Hassad Food (QIA's agri arm) and sale of Arvento to Brisa (Bridgestone-Sabancı JV).

OÄŸuz began his career in Investment Banking, advising on cross-border M&A transactions at Goldman Sachs in London and Rothschild in Istanbul. He holds an LL.M. in Law & Economics from Hamburg University and a BA in Economics from Sabanci University. He is a graduate of Robert College.
Mehmet has over 15 years of experience in investing and operating industrial companies in Turkey.

Prior to SME Fund TR, he was a founding partner at Coneco Packaging, Türkiye's unique producer of specialized ice cream packaging. Previously, he invested in the packaging, technology, and F&B sectors at Trom Investments.
​
At Akkök Holding, as a strategy and business development manager, he led major M&A projects in the chemical, composite, and real estate sectors. Some notable projects included the acquisitions of Gizem Frit, one of the world's largest enamel and ceramic frit producers, Megacolor, a Spain-based ceramic ink producer, and Epsilon, an aviation composite parts producer.

He began his career at PwC in valuations team, and holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Bilkent University.

Veysi Küçük serves as an Investment Committee Member and Senior Advisor to the SME Fund, providing guidance on strategic decisions and sector-specific matters.
​
Mr. Küçük brings approximately 30 years of senior management experience within the finance and industrial sectors. He currently holds the position of CEO at Akkim Kimya, a subsidiary of Akkök Holding.
​
Mr. Küçük began his career at Demirbank and took on various responsibilities at HSBC and Evyap Group until 2007.
​
After joining Akkök Holding in 2007, he played effective roles in the management of the group's companies. From 2008 to 2012, he was the Assistant General Manager responsible for Finance and Strategic Planning at Ak-Al Tekstil. He then served as Akkök Holding's Strategic Planning and Business Development Director from 2013 to 2015, and as General Manager of Akcoat from 2015 to 2023. Mr. Küçük acted as the CFO of Akkök Holding until his appointment as the CEO of Akkim Kimya in July 2025. Additionally, he is an Investment Committee member at 212Next, a VC fund focused on advanced materials technologies.

Mr. Küçük graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in English Business Administration and earned an Executive MBA from Yeditepe University. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Business Administration at BahçeÅŸehir University.

Founded in 2017, Belkofleks is a fully integrated producer of value-added flexible packaging. Specializing in aluminum-based solutions for the pharmaceutical and food & beverage sectors, the Company operates a 10,000 sqm facility in Gebze and has an extensive sales reach across MENA, Europe and Turkey.
